Authors make mistakes. And I made a huge one with Jessica in Inked Devotion. I have a spreadsheet of names I use for the series, but her name wasn’t added to the list for some reason. And years later, when working on the Montgomery Ink Legacy series, Jessica was left off and renamed.
However, the other names aren’t a mistake.
Other names from Inked Temptation were their middle names to be used as first names later on in the series so there was little to no overlap. The names on the family tree ARE the correct ones going forward in the series.
I do love a family tree! While Ashford Creek is a small town series, that features the Ashfords, there are also other books within the series that are about their friends within the small town. So a real family tree would be too complicated. But below is the list of siblings (and their HEAs) in age order. Then listed below them is the other members of the town in their age order as well. But wait….what if I want to know if so and so gets a book?
Honestly….the answer is usually yes. They get a book. Not always, but usually I find a way. By now you’ve probably scoured through my book page, reading order pages, and other places and hopefully you found my reading order list so you can breathe easily. But just how are each of my books connected?
Each of my books are spun off of each other because I can’t help but see my contemporary world as a giant tree. The Montgomerys are usually the trunk while each of the other series are the large branches that grow as someone marries into the Montgomerys and happens to have five sexy, single brothers. *ahem*
And sometimes, in the case of the Wilders, they sort of sprout a seedling and then it turns into it’s own large tree and now we have more branches.
Either way…you don’t have to worry about the big grand scheme of what’s happening in the world of the Montgomerys. I have spreadsheets for that. But just know, that one day they will take over the world and they have married into MANY families to make that happen…again…I digress…
