Writing All the Words

March 16, 2022

Today I’m deep in the writing cave with Hunted in Darkness. The Aspen Pack series breaks open the Redwood and Talon Pack world and I am having such a fun time with it. I’ve been wanting to write this one story line for years and I’m having so much fun figuring out how to fight this world.

Audrey, the heroine from Etched in Honor, was a side character in the Talon Pack series and people have been begging for her story during the time I took a break from writing paranormal romance. I love writing fated mates and finding new ways for the stories to feel fresh.

Right now, the Aspens are rebuilding and these all new characters are tugging on my heart. I’m writing this series so you can start with the Aspens and not feel behind, and you guys, I love them so much! What are you reading right now?

Evernight Unleashed is LIVE on some places!

March 15, 2022

Evernight Unleashed (Ravenwood Coven Book 3) is now live on Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo! I am so excited for this book! I wanted to write a series about three women who protect a town, find their own power, and become strong witches that can save the world.

Along the way, I fell in love with their fated mates and I’m so excited for this final book! Ash and Rowen went through so much already but knowing their HEA is finally here makes it all worth it!

You’ll be able to read their book on Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo for the next 24 hours. And then it will be live on Amazon in KU, Audible, and Paperback on Thursday! (It will only be in KU for a month or so before something special is happening, so if you’ve been waiting to binge read, this is the time! And if you want to read ALL three books on other platforms, you’ll be able to do so soon!)

More about Evernight Unleashed:

In the dramatic conclusion to the Ravenwood Coven series by NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan, this sleeping magical paranormal town knows that war can be a beginning…and an ending.

Rowen Ravenwood is the final witch of her line—the only one standing in the way of Oriel, the dark necromancer who wants the core of the town’s magic for his own. With each passing battle and loss, Rowen is one step closer to losing it all if she doesn’t rely on the one man she refuses to love again. Only this time she might not have a choice when family secrets come to light.

Ash Christopher’s family curse hit him harder than anyone knows. He’s cool, relentless, and only feels what he needs to in order to survive. He’s gained everything in power and lost all else to his ambition—including Rowen. After all, a man cannot have a soul mate when he does not possess a soul.

The town of Ravenwood is dying and as the final battles come to pass, it will take the courage of a coven reborn, a mating bond broken, and a love worth fighting for in order to save all before it is lost.

Events This Year

March 14, 2022

After over two years of not going to events, I’m finally venturing out into the world and going to book signings. I’m so very grateful for science and those around us to make this happen and I cannot wait to see so many of you!

For now, I’m planning on three book signings this year and I cannot wait! I’ll be at Book Bonanza, Apollycon and Readers on the River. And for the first time, I now have preorders open for Book Bonanza and Apollycon. If you’d like to make sure you get the books you want from my backlist at those two signings, you can preorder them here! (I’m not sure if I’ll have a preorder at Readers on the River, but I’ll let you know!)

And if you can’t come to a book signing this year, my store is now fully stocked with my backlist and there are bundles too! So you don’t have to wait for a book signing. If you’re outside the US, you can order signed bookplates since shipping and the VAT is cost prohibitive at the moment.

I can’t wait to see you and all the books this year!

Checking In

March 12, 2022

Sometimes I feel like I’m so far in the writing cave, I don’t get to keep up with making sure y’all know what’s going on in this brain of mine.

Years ago, I used to write blog posts about what I was doing, what books were coming out, and just how I was feeling. Then Facebook took over and no one was going to blogs.

Now I feel the need to come here to check in within a space of our own making rather than social media. I’m going to try to be better at telling you what’s I’m working on so we’re all excited about those book boyfriends and fierce heroines together!

So…what am I working on?

I’m finishing up final proofs of Inked Temptation and am STILL in love with Killian and Archer. These two break my heart and make me sweat. I can’t help it! LOL

I’m also working on Hunted in Darkness (Aspen Pack Book 2). I am THRILLED with this series. There are so many surprises in this book that I legit cannot tell you because I want you to read Etched in Honor first, but you guys…I fell in love with another Alpha. There. I said it. Chase is a broody, growly, caring, and broken Alpha wolf and I love him. His mate? Skye. She’s Cailin’s daughter from the Redwood Pack and her first name is Patricia…named for her grandmother…

I love what I’m writing right now even when I try to figure out what’s coming next. Because the big bad? Just wait until you meet him. He scares me LOL. And I love him.

And of course…I’m still in the mindset of Evernight Unleashed, which releases next week. Ash was the first hero I came up with for this series. I had a certain scene in my mind before I even wrote the first word of chapter 1. I KNEW who Ash needed to be but it took me years to figure out how he’d get there. Rowen was and IS the strength of the series and I’m honored to have written their story. Ash has no soul and Rowen knows that she can’t have her soulmate with the curse upon them both. I love this book and I can’t wait for you to read it!

Until next time…I adore and appreciate all of you!

~Carrie Ann
